Horizon Optical provides support to Vision Care for the Homeless in London7th September 2009 Horizon Optical provides Rx house (where frames are fitted with lenses) support to Vision Care for the Homeless in London Horizon Optical is celebrating its sixth year of support for Vision Care for Homeless People, providing frames and lenses for the needy of London since the first centre opened its doors in Commercial Street, close to The City. “Since we started to support Harinder Paul and his work the volume of dispensing has increased considerably. There is a tremendous demand for this amazing charity,” said Zerrin Pekri, Horizon Optical’s Sales Director.
The Dunstable-based company has seen prescriptions for the homeless pass through its labs that range from +10.00d to -7.00d, but with the majority between -3.00 to +2.00d. “It is terrible to think that people are living on the streets of our capital with vision like this – wherever would they be without the charity?” she asked.
