Zoobug's New Shapes and Colours

Zoobug adds new shapes and colours in MINI Collection for presentation at SILMO

August 2012

- TR90 frames, designed specifically for infants/toddler
- gentle on the skin / no metal parts
- built-up bridge for extra support
- new detachable headband

Zoobug MiniZoobug has expanded its popular collection of MINI optical styles, designed for infants and toddlers. Launched in 2010, the collection has quickly become a leading specialist collection for children in the UK. Designed in London and made in Italy, the frames are now available with a coloured headband which secures frames comfortably on the smallest heads. Zoobug has also designed a new built-up bridge to provide specific support for the underdeveloped nose bridges in toddlers and infants.

Practical and easy-to-wear, Zoobug MINI frames are made of the memory plastic TR 90, a soft adjustable rubber, which ensures a snug and comfortable fit. Free from metal parts, the frames are designed so they do not cause rubbing or red marks on delicate young skin.

The sunglass styles in the MINI collection include the classic square and cute round baby shapes, designed to fit toddlers from 0 to 3. Colourways are bright and desirable, including fuchsia/white, solid red/white, pink/fuchsia and blue/orange. In the optical range, Zoobug has expanded the MINI collection to include a choice of three shapes, square, round and oval, catering to the 0-3 age group with a variety of sizes for all small face shapes.

“Infants and toddlers need to get used to wearing their first frames with as little anxiety as possible,” explains Dr Julie Diem Le, Director of Zoobug. “With this in mind, we have worked to ensure that our offer for this age group meets their specific requirements in terms of fit, styling, durability and safety. The optical frames in this line have been very well received by the UK’s eye hospitals. The frames are completely adaptable for tips to go behind ears for older kids, or to wrap around the head and stay on with our new headband for toddlers and infants.”
