Lions Festive Walk to Support Vision Care for Homeless People
Vision Care for Homeless People is set to benefit from a “Walk off Christmas” event in the Midlands on Sunday 29th December. Knowle & Dorridge Lions are inviting everyone to pull on their boots and walk off the Christmas pud with a choice of 5, 7.5 or 10.5 mile signed walks.
The Lions hope hundreds of walkers will turn out for this popular event from Baddesley Clinton House, and help raise funds with a choice for walkers of getting their day sponsored or making a donation.
‘What better way to shake off the excesses of Christmas than to get together with family and friends for a walk in the country’, says Jill Lambert, VCHP Regional Organiser.
Passing through the beautiful Warwickshire countryside along country lanes, towpaths and footpaths, all routes pass at least one country pub.
More details & register online at www.KnowleandDorridgeLions.com/festive now. Baddesley Clinton House and Gardens will be open for walkers to view and there will be mince pies and mulled wine for all to enjoy after their walk.
NB: Vision Care for Homeless People is very keen to hear from optometrists and dispensing opticians in the Midlands who have some time to support the charity with their professional time during 2014.
